Dow Jones to go up 4000 points !

At first blush you might think that we have been smoking something.

But our traditional forte is being able to read stock charts. The grand daddy of all chart patterns is the famous bottom head and shoulders. And that is what the Dow has, and it has broken out on the upside.

It measures up 4000 points or more ! Charts aren't perfect but you can't ignore them. We will be following the Dow stocks with great enthusiasm and you can find out more about us at www.fraser-ratings.com

Dow at four and a half year high

To this observer there have been a lot of bears around in the past few weeks; we have not been one of them. The market bottomed out in October of 2002 and the primary trend to us has been clearly up since that time.

With the expected up move today the Dow is at a 4 1/2 year high. We think it may go up 1000 more points in the next 12 months. Wouldn't that be loverly !

Crude oil and oil stocks

The roof is falling in ! Crude oil has had a swift drop from almost $70.00 down to below $58.00; the expected support at $60.00 just faded away like old soldiers.

Our oil stocks have also acted more like lead than light crude; they have now gone down seven days in a row ! We have something to say about all this in our coming Report; to find out more go to www.fraser-ratings.com

Crude Oil

For the TSX maybe the most important single factor affecting stock prices today.

In our current Report we study the price of crude for the past 9 years and so far our prognostications have been mainly accurate.

What about today ? We now have, technically, some very important observations that all investors should know; to get this Report, just email us at fraserratings@yahoo.ca

Chateau Laurier & Chateau Frontenac

We think these famous, majestic, and beautiful hotels are Canadian historical landmarks and should be owned and operated by Canadians. Fairmont Hotels has agreed to sell them to foreign interests. This observer will no longer stay at, or go in, either of these hotels or the Royal York or Banff Springs Hotel. Shame on Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Inc.
