Why not sell Niagara Falls ?
It is hard to believe that the Government of Ontario let the famous, and fabulous, Sudbury Basin be sold to outsiders. In the very early days of this Province the main industry was farming. By the late 1800's mining became a close second. Inco, Falconbridge, and Noranda were among the most important mining companies in the world; and to get to them all you had to do was drive up Yonge street.
But now they will be run by cheesemakers and carnivalists !
Why not sell Niagara Falls; it is another one of our great natural resources.
We would bet 10 to 1 that Quebec will not sell its natural resources !
Next are the Canadian controlled energy companies in the West. There will be an offer from an outsider for all the shares of CNQ, Encana, and Nexen; and many others. Is the Government of Alberta going to be like Ontario or Quebec ? Our view is that they will follow Quebec.
